Sumter Transport announces the availability of its Pneumatic Tank agitator for the maximum in transportation cost savings. Sumter Transport applies its proven years of agitation systems technology to the blending of dry products with liquids. This system is operated using the engine from the tractor to a power take off system that operates a hydraulic pump located on the unit. This pump turns the four hydraulic motors that are mounted on the top of the tanker. Each motor has a shaft attachment with mixers that can provide up to 40 horsepower of blending per cone. A PLC unit located on the street side of the tanker can operate the mixers independent of each other, or all four can be operated at the same time. Unloading time is greatly reduced by the use a six-inch discharge pipe located on the underside of the tanker.
