Sumter Transport Company, headquartered in Sumter, SC, has been providing transportation services since 1951. That's 50 years of continuous service. For the past half a century, Sumter Transport has been the industry leader in innovative, non-traditional approaches to transportation, waste minimization and resource recovery needs.

Sumter Transport's primary business has been transporting propane, solvents, gasoline, fuel oil and hazardous waste. These services have been provided to heavy industry, hazardous waste companies and to the U.S Government. Since 1990, Sumter Transport has worked with The Maitland Company to perfect the suspension of solids during transportation primarily through the use of the Roberoller™ and RipTide™ agitation systems. Sumter Transport and The Maitland Company are now partners to provide agitation equipment for the transportation of virgin products, on-site solids recovery and reintroduction, waste reduction, agitated fractional (frac) tanks and agitated stationary tanks.
